The enemy is a very nice story written by pearl s, buck this story is all about humanism and kindness shown by japanese doctro, Dr sadao one day Dr sadao and his wife hana found a wounded American soldier on the beach near his house there was a war between America and japan at that time so it could be very daongerous for Dr, sadao to help a prisoner of war i:e an American soldier but he was unable to throw him back into the water as a Doctor, he prefered to save his life first hana thought that it was risky for all including the children to provide shelter to an enemy the house, even then the joined Dr, sadao and took care of him (wounded soldier) even their servants left the house, it was the war time but the general did not send sadao with the troops as he neede him for his own treat ment, sadao had told the general about the soldier but he did not take any action as he was self centered taking the advantage of the general’s self obsession sadao helped the American soldier to escape from his house safely fanally, he felt happy and satisfied to save a soldier’s life
